I went on another adventure with my Wallowa Photo Club members. We had fun and sat with our cameras in hand and watched nature before our eyes just be herself. We were forming our compositions to make a great photo. There are trails and a tower you can climb at least half way up. Great view from there. It is mind blowing to see such depth into a canyon and one with notable facts. Such as it is the deepest canyon in North American. It's 2000 feet deeper than the Grand Canyon. I'd love to visit there someday. The Snake River has been rushing through Hells Canyon for 6 million years. It's headwaters start at Yellowstone National Park.
We went there in early summer and there was so much rain in 2022 that the green grasses added such a remarkable composition to our photographs. The clouds also always give dimension to a landscape photo.
I captured many ways to take a photo of Hells Canyon and this seems to be my favorite shot right now.
Enjoy nature when you can as she does so much for our self renewal. Seek her gift and you will be rewarded. Remember to use good shoes, take food and water, toilet paper, sunscreen, jacket, and fill up your gas tank. This will make a pleasant and safer trip.
